Cody Swain earned his associates degree from Daytona Beach College
with a focus in economics and marketing where he was nominated for
the award in economics. After earning his associates degree
Cody pursued a short lived career at Mercedes Homes where he developed
many business skills that he now uses in day to day operations. During
his time at Mercedes he had the opportunity to play an intricate
role in helping to create a new department at the company and in
doing so gained valuable experience pertaining to entrepreneurial
ventures. After leaving Mercedes Cody pursued further business
classes to gain a higher understanding of the business world and
became interested in the activities of The Venture Lab to develop
a more micro understanding of the entrepreneurial world.
Currently Cody is pursuing a degree in international relations with
a minor in anthropology of multicultural studies and a second minor
in world comparative studies from UCF. He is highly involved
in his studies and is pursuing a thesis in his major for publication. Cody’s
goals are to pursue a future career with TNCs and foreign embassies
providing such functions as political risk assessment and business
anthropology consulting. His time spent here at The Venture
Lab is to further acquire and perfect business skills that he can
later transfer to applicable situations in his future career.
